Clara Scavelli MSN, AGPCNP-BC, MEDSURG-BC, is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with more than 12 years of nursing experience dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based patient care. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she served as an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) registered nurse at South Shore University Hospital, where she cared for critically ill patients and those recovering from complex surgical procedures. Her diverse clinical background has equipped her with the knowledge and experience to care for patients with complex medical conditions while maintaining a calm, compassionate approach.

Clara earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Stony Brook University and graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Walden University. She was inducted into both the Salute Veterans National Honor Society and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society in recognition of her academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to the nursing profession.

Clara is also a board-certified Medical-Surgical Nurse (MEDSURG-BC), credentialed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Most notably, she is the recipient of the internationally recognized DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses, an honor that recognizes exceptional clinical expertise, compassionate care, and an unwavering commitment to providing outstanding, patient-centered care.

A proud United States Marine Corps veteran, Clara served honorably and received numerous military honors throughout her service, including the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, among others. Her military service instilled the discipline, integrity, resilience, and dedication to service that continue to guide her approach to patient care.

She is committed to developing individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that focus not only on relieving pain, but on restoring function, improving quality of life, and helping patients return to the activities they value most.
